I Can Bend My Thumb Again!

I just wanted to share with you about my success with the Dr Sandra Cabot brand of Serrapeptase. I damaged both my thumbs with repetitive work sealing my tile floors. For six months my thumbs have been locked with trigger thumb and the inflammation and pain continued to increase to the point that I was considering seeing a doctor for surgery. I read about Serrapeptase and then read the testimonials and decided to try it. After one week the pain subsided and the worst damaged thumb stopped hurting and I was able to bend the thumb. It's been 6 months since I was able to do that!!!! I am so excited. My husband was so impressed he wants to take the supplement to help him with his painful joints.

Thank you for your reply. You say take 2 capsules daily for a full therapeutic dose. But at what strength for each capsules? At present I’m taking 2 capsules at each strength of 40,000 SPU a total of 80,000 SPU a day. I’m taking these because I have just recently woke up one morning and found I had a trigger finger on the right hand ring finger. Doing the usual exercises then it is recommended to do I have not had it locked up since that first morning when I woke up having a locked finger, and how painful that was to unlock it but luckily no more so I’m hoping I can get on top of this problem quickly. Also I have issues with my sinuses and been told that this Serrapeptase will help.

  Hello Eric,
  Finger locking can also be a sign of magnesium deficiency and we recommend 200mg twice daily as either powder or tablets.
  Rather than Serrapeptase for sinus we recommend Bacto clear – 1 to 2 with meals twice daily and NAC 2 capsules twice daily with a large glass of water between meals.

Hello Victoria, when you say take one capsule twice daily, so that’s 2 capsules a day and then to a therapeutic dose of 2 capsules twice daily, so that’s a total of 4 capsules a day. I take 2 capsules in the morning then 1 capsule before bed on an empty stomach. But what strength? The capsules I am using are 40,000 SPU making my daily intake 120,000 SPU.

At what strength/dosage per capsules should I be using. Thank you for your help. Eric

  Hello Eric,
  Your first post didn’t say what dose you were taking and we assumed you were using Dr Cabot’s product.
  Dr Cabot’s Serrapeptase is 125,000SU/capsule and this was what we based our last response on.
  Our therapeutic dose is 250,000SU twice daily.

What is the full therapeutic dose?
I now have, what they call a trigger finger. Just woke up one morning and there it was. On my right hand ring finger. In full lockdown, I used my other hand to open it up and the pain well let’s just say it wasn’t pleasant. It’s been 3 weeks having it and I have been doing hand exercises that seem to be working. I want to try this Serrapeptase as there is so much talk about it with good results. But what dosage?

  Hello Eric,
  It is best to start Serrapeptase with one capsule daily, and gradually increasing to one twice daily, and then to a therapeutic dose of two capsules twice daily.

  The usual therapeutic dose of Serrapeptase is two capsules twice daily taken on an empty stomach, to ensure optimal bioavailability. Begin with one capsule daily for two days to ensure no sensitivity and then increase to one capsule twice daily before increasing the dose to the full therapeutic dose. Always take Serrapeptase on an empty stomach to ensure optimal bioavailability.
