Did you know this about coconut oil?

Coconut oil is often recommended as a component of an anti Candida diet because of its special anti-microbial properties. Coconut oil is rich in saturated fats, particularly medium chain fatty acids, which have quite a number of health benefits. You don’t have to worry about these fats causing weight gain because they are not treated like most other fats in your body; they are taken straight to the liver and used for energy.

Coconut oil contains specific fats called caprylic acid, capric acid and lauric acid. The specific structure of these fatty acids enables them to attack the integrity of the membrane of Candida yeast, disrupting and disintegrating it. This leaves the inside of its cell, called the cytoplasm, disorganized and shrunken. In this way, coconut oil can help to kill Candida without leading to the development of more resistant Candida strains, which can happen with some anti-fungal drugs.

Bactoclear capsules contain the essential oils of clove, oregano and thyme, as well as the herb phelladendron, which is rich in berberine. These herbs  have antifungal properties and therefore may help in the management of Candida overgrowth or vaginal yeast infections. Antibiotic use can increase the risk of developing Candida overgrowth. Taking BactoClear alongside and after the antibiotics may help to reduce the occurrence of thrush.
