I read a comment made to suggest Dr Cabot advised tyrosine could help with depression....Do you know if this is right.I have clinical depression and ADeppresants are not working.

  Hello Jo,
  Depression is often a symptom of inflammation, which is very common in modern societies.
  If there is considerable inflammation in the digestive tract it may follow that there is insufficient serotonin to act as an inhibitory neurotransmitter.
  An anti-inflammatory dietary program as is found in Dr Cabot’s 15 Day Cleanse and Maintenance Plan is very beneficial.
  It may follow that when there is less inflammation in the gut, more serotonin is available in the brain and this may allow your antidepressant to work better in the beginning or even lead to none being needed at all.
  Tyrosine is a precursor to dopamine not serotonin and may not alleviate your depressive symptoms unless you can identify yourself as having an addictive personality contributing to your depression, in which case it may prove most beneficial.
  Dr Cabot prescribes Livatone Plus, Serrapeptase, and Vitamin C.
