As an integral member of the Cabot Health team, Nutritionist Louise Belle worked closely alongside Dr. Sandra Cabot in creating the tasty, enticing and deliciously healthy meal plan that comprises a large part of the Dr. Cabot 15 Day Cleanse.
“This was such a wonderful project to work on,” she recalls. “As a nutritionist, I love that I can prepare and eat a meal and know exactly how it is nourishing my body and enhancing my health on so many different levels. Taking this a step further, I also love that by sharing this information with people, I can help enhance their lives, too. There’s nothing like the feeling of knowing my advice has helped a patient, friend or family member feel more energetic, less anxious or less bloated! Now, to be able to share this with all of Australia and the rest of the world, it makes me very proud.”
Holistic in her approach, Louise loves nothing more than to educate people about food and nutrition. Louise has a special passion for plant-based nutrition and believes that everyone could use some extra veggies in their diet. She takes the approach of looking at the many contributing factors to illness and addressing the causes.
“Prevention is better than cure, so make your health a priority. Take the time to eat well, sleep well and to move. You don’t need to follow a super strict diet, weigh your meals, or even count your calories. Just do your very best to eat nutritious, wholesome foods the majority of the time and your body will thank you for it.”
Louise believes that good health begins in the gut and as such, we can prevent many modern day diseases by following a healthy diet and making sensible lifestyle choices, something she learnt first hand through her own health journey
