Spiced Homemade Almond Butter
This homemade spiced almond butter pairs nicely on a piece of toast, some apple slices or goes great in a smoothie for an added boost of healthy fats.
Ingredients
- 3 cups raw almonds
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon Nature Sweet natural sugar alternative
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spread the almonds out on a large baking tray. Roast them for around 10 minutes, or until they start to smell delicious.
- Let the almonds cool for 10 minutes.
- Place all ingredients into a high powered blender or food processor. Process until the mixture forms a smooth or crunchy butter. This can take some time, depending on the equipment you use.
