Dairy Free Creamy Lemon Sauce

Ideal to drizzle over seafood and vegetables, this delicious sauce contains healthy fat from coconut and is ideal for anyone needing to avoid dairy products.


  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small brown onion, very finely diced
  • 3/4 cup full fat canned coconut cream
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 tablespoons lemon juice


  • Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a saucepan
  • Add the onion and salt and cook gently just until it softens
  • Add coconut cream, stir and allow to simmer for up to 10 minutes, until the sauce thickens
  • Stir in lemon juice and take it off the heat
