After years of misery due to insomnia, fatigue and nervous system issue I'm narrowing down all my blame on my liver. I've always ate pretty healthy, didn't drink much alcohol and quit smoking long time ago but I think my liver grew more and more sluggish over the years leading me to adrenal fatigue etc. My problem is that some of the key herbs in your suggested in Livatone like Milk Thistle initially makes me feel better and cooler at night but eventually cause enormous fatigue with heavy legs, etc. Bitter herbs in general also make me very cold, especially my feet. Have you ever seen anything like this? Why would Milk Thistle, Dandelion, Burdock root eventually cause such fatigue? I would be very grateful for any insight. Thank you.
Perhaps reduce your dosage of Livatone Plus caps and monitor your symptoms.
These symptoms could also be due to your adrenal fatigue.
You may benefit from following Dr Cabot's book 'The Liver Cleansing Diet'.
We recommend you take
Adrenal Plus Support 1 to 2 tabs a day as it contains herbs and nutrients that are wonderfully restorative to the adrenal glands.
Magnesium Complete 2 tabs twice daily OR Magnesium Ultra Potent 1/2 tsp twice daily to relax your muscles and nervous system.

iam 41 years old and having high FSH due to which my periods are delayed. could it be a sign of liver sluggishness
thanks
swati
High FSH may indicate poor fertility and/or early stages of menopause.
We recommend you take
Livatone Plus 2 caps twice daily to improve liver function.
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) 2 caps twice daily at least 2 hours away from food, if any upset occurs please take with meals. NAC is the precursor to glutathione; the body's most potent antioxidant. This supplement works well with Livatone Plus to get the liver better faster.

I have the Haemochromatosis under control through regular blood letting (I'm now in maintenance), and have managed to increase my HDL Cholesterol, and lower my Triglycerides and blood pressure through eliminating starch, sugar and alcohol from my diet (not to mention losing 20kg in the process). I still have 3 or 4 of the above symptoms, but generally feel much better. My main problems now are related to pesticide sensitivities, so I try to eat organic food as much as possible. Unfortunately I live in a country (Mozambique) where it is deemed safe to spray pesticides in confined spaces (public toilets, airplanes etc.) so I can't ever fully avoid them!
Anyway, what I was wondering is whether there is a medical term for a "sluggish liver" that is caused by under-active enzymes in the liver? Also, is there anything that can be done to improve the efficacy of these particular enzymes?
Many thanks,
Paul
Overexposure to pesticides can cause fatty liver disease, and one of the symptoms is a sluggish liver.
It's great that you have eliminated sugar, alcohol and starch, as we recommend the elimination of grains, sugar and processed foods if you have a fatty liver.
A fatty liver can be diagnosed by getting an ultrasound scan or a liver function test.
We recommend you take Livatone Plus 2 caps daily as this will boost your metabolism, detoxify the liver and eliminate toxins.
