Immune Boosting Garlic Pesto
Delicious served over meat, seafood or poultry, or stirred into pasta. Garlic has antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties.
Ingredients
- 3 cups chopped fresh basil
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup pine nuts
- 6 Brazil nuts
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- Place the basil in a blender. Add 1 tablespoon of the oil, and blend mixture into a paste. Gradually add pine nuts, Brazil nuts, garlic, and remaining oil. Continue to blend the mixture until it is smooth.
