A Low Carbohydrate Plan for fatty liver
This plan needs to be followed for 4 to 12 months depending on the severity of fatty liver. It is advisable to avoid a high intake of carbohydrates long term or fatty liver may recur. Fatty liver is NOT caused by the consumption of excess healthy unprocessed fatty foods; it is caused by the consumption of excess carbohydrates and processed foods.

Many people with Gallbladder problems still have a congested liver remaining after surgery.
There are supplements that we would recommend, but unfortunately we do not post to South Africa.
So please make sure to follow the diet and lifestyle advice in Dr Cabot's gallbladder videos.

I have just been told I have a fatty liver apparently from genetics. This after having Gilbert’s syndrome for 20 years.
I am not overweight. I’m an ultramarathoner so understandably I was confused at this. She also told me I have diabetes in my future.
My mantra has been prevention is better than cure but still I find I’m getting my mothers health issues. I’m hoping the diet and advise herein will help me get better.
I have been a long time follower of dr Cabot.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you.
Gilbert’s syndrome is very common. You can probably get your blood bilirubin level down a bit. We have several articles about Gilbert’s syndrome on our website if you do a search. 2 capsules twice daily of Livatone Plus should help. We hope you start to feel better soon.
Please let us know if you have any further queries.

Following the guidelines of this series of articles is most likely to have your liver tests well back in normal range quite quickly.
Most liver cysts are benign and with this type of diet, we expect your liver to be able to regenerate the space the cyst had been taking.
