Case Study Update: Repeated Infections In A Type 1 Diabetic
Today I’d like to give you an update about a patient I saw a few months ago. You can read about the original case study here.
Josh has had 2 more consultations with me since his original one. He was extremely pleased with how he has been feeling. Josh has only had one minor respiratory tract infection that only lasted for 3 days.
Josh said to me “Only now that I’m out of that terrible cycle can I see how exhausted and stressed I was”. The repeated infections drained his body of energy. The stress of looking after his disabled sister made him chronically anxious and tense.
Josh said to me “When I look back now, I’m shocked at the amount of junk food I used to eat. The carbs, sugar and dairy products were making me chronically congested in my nose and I think they very making me depressed. My brain felt so foggy all the time and it was hard work to motivate myself to do anything”.
Josh is relieved to see much better blood sugar readings every time he tests himself. The chronically elevated blood sugar was contributing to his anxiety because he knew it was harming his body and raising the risk of serious complications.

The BactoClear capsules cleared up Josh’s nose and sinuses extremely well. Josh used to go through one tissue box a week. He was constantly blowing his nose even when he didn’t have an infection. His nose was blocked at night, so he had to sleep with an open mouth. He woke several times throughout the night because of a dry mouth.

Josh wanted to keep taking the supplements I originally recommended because he loved feeling so much better. Because winter was approaching, I asked Josh to take 1 Selenomune capsule daily with a meal. The selenium and other minerals in this formula enable the body to fight off infections more effectively.
I will provide Josh with a blood test referral to check his immune system, blood sugar and nutrient levels, to ensure he has the healthiest winter possible.
